We're having our engagement photo session soon, and we're using a photographer who suggested the idea of photographing a "day in the life of" of my fiance and me. For example, she wants us to stay in our PJs until she gets there to take some pictures of us in bed (no, not sexual pictures), making breakfast, brushing our teeth, etc., and then venturing out into the city to take pictures of us hailing a cab, riding the train, getting ice cream, etc. I was just wondering if anyone has done something like this, and if they would mind sharing their pictures. I'm just really curious to see how they turned out.
Also, for the ladies, did you have your make-up done for your engagement session? I'd really like to have mine done just because we're putting a lot of effort into the pictures, so we both want to look our best. Some people say it's a really good idea, and some say it's unnecessary. Your thoughts?
Nicole S - Your comment is unnecessary, but just FYI, it's costing us very little. We're hiring a photographer with an amazing portfolio, but little wedding experience. She's looking to expand her wedding photography skills and is actually charging us next to nothing for the session, Photoshop work and all the images on a CD.
Normally, we wouldn't splurge on something like this, but it fell into our lap, and we're really excited about it.
Thanks Nova Queen! That's kind of what I meant - If I had my make-up done, it would be really subtle. I just know that when I had my senior portrait done for HS, the photographer highly suggested having it done just because the make-up artist would know what to highlight and how to do my skin so I wouldn't look washed out. Thanks

Wow, Valerie X - If you're actually a wedding planner, I feel really bad for your clients! How close-minded of you! This is certainly not the 1900s, for crap's sake.
The photography style is called photojournalistic. It's a very popular current trend. Would we have a picture of us making breakfast on our fireplace mantle? Of course not! Would we maybe put one in a scrapbook? Yes!
Jeez, the way some people have reacted you'd think we were having boudoir pictures taken or something.
